The Ministry of Health, in partnership with UNFPA, has developed a National Adolescent Health Strategy (AHS) for Suriname for the period 2023 to 2030, along with a budgeted Action and Monitoring Plan spanning from 2023 to 2025. This initiative relied heavily on the active engagement of all stakeholders.
The action plan will serve as a practical guide for coordinated efforts among various stakeholders at different levels. Additionally, it will facilitate an analysis of budgetary requirements and enable a more focused approach to securing the necessary funds.
The strategy and action plan are intended to be used by a diverse range of stakeholders, both governmental and non-governmental. These documents are meant to foster collaboration and coordination in order to improve the health and well-being of adolescents throughout Suriname.
